Peninsula homes built between the 1920s and 1960s are running on original underground services: gas lines, water laterals, and electrical feeds that are past their design life. When those get replaced, or when an ADU, pool, or panel upgrade needs a new underground run, someone has to cut a compliant trench through a mature, landscaped lot without wrecking it.
That is the work we do daily as part of our utility trenching service. We pothole by hand around tree roots and existing utilities, cut clean lines through driveways and sidewalks, and put every surface back: compacted backfill, patched asphalt, restored landscape.
Being based in Hillsborough means shorter mobilization than contractors coming from the East Bay or South Bay, and a crew that already knows the permit counters in Burlingame, San Mateo, and the coastal towns.

Open-cut trenches for new gas services at 18 to 24 inches of cover and electrical conduit at 24 to 36. Sand bedding, pipe protection, hand potholing around existing utilities, and PG&E inspection coordination so the new line goes live on schedule.
Joint Trench & Wet Utilities
Multi-utility joint trenches carrying gas, electric, and telecom in one excavation, sequenced to each utility's separation rules. We also trench for water lines and sewer laterals, so the full underground scope stays with one contractor.
Peninsula cities differ on cut width, compaction testing, and what a finished patch has to look like. That is why our trench support and street restoration scope is priced separately from the pipe work.

Yes. Pacifica, Montara, Moss Beach, El Granada, and Half Moon Bay are all inside our regular coverage. Coastal jobs often involve sandy or unstable soils, so we shore and plate trenches accordingly and schedule around weather when the site calls for it.
Yes. Our crew holds current Operator Qualification credentials for both gas and electrical tasks, the qualification PG&E requires for trenching that affects its facilities. We coordinate directly with PG&E on service installs, meter connections, and joint trench projects.
