Our Process
How It Works
Site Evaluation
We assess the existing water infrastructure, check line size and material, and determine the scope of installation or replacement needed.
Permitting & Coordination
We obtain plumbing and encroachment permits, schedule USA markings, and coordinate with the water purveyor for meter sets or shutdowns.
Excavation & Piping
Our crew trenches to the water line, removes failed pipe if applicable, and installs new piping with proper bedding, fittings, and thrust restraints.
Testing & Restoration
We pressure test the new line, coordinate inspection and meter activation, and restore all disturbed surfaces to pre-construction condition.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
We use copper, PEX, and HDPE depending on the application, soil conditions, and local code requirements. Copper remains the standard for most Bay Area residential service lines, while HDPE is common for longer commercial runs and areas with corrosive soil.
We provide emergency response across the Bay Area and can typically be on-site within one to two hours. For burst water lines, we recommend shutting off the water at the meter or main valve immediately and then calling us for repair.
Yes. Water line installations and replacements require plumbing permits from your local building department. If the work involves the public right-of-way, an encroachment permit is also needed. We manage the entire permit and inspection process.
In some cases, yes. Trenchless methods like pipe bursting can be used for straight runs without fittings. However, most Bay Area water line replacements involve conventional open-cut trenching due to bends, connections, and depth requirements. We evaluate each project individually.
The water main is the large-diameter pipe in the street owned by the water utility. The service line runs from the main to your water meter and then into your building. We service the private-side line from the meter to the building and can coordinate with the water purveyor for main-side connections.
