Trenching for Alameda County Properties
Alameda County trenching splits into two kinds of work. On the residential side, the pre-war housing stock in Oakland, Berkeley, and Alameda runs on original underground services that are due for replacement, and newer ADU and electrification projects need fresh conduit and gas runs cut to current PG&E specification.
On the commercial side, the corridors through Hayward, San Leandro, and Fremont need trenching that works around business hours: staged excavation, trench plating overnight, and surface restoration that passes city inspection the first time. Both kinds run through our utility trenching service.
The county also adds a second utility to coordinate. Gas and electric are PG&E, but water service in much of Alameda County is EBMUD, with its own inspection process. We manage both so the project is not held open waiting on a missed inspection.

Open-cut trenches for new gas services at 18 to 24 inches of cover and electrical conduit at 24 to 36. Sand bedding, pipe protection, hand potholing around existing utilities, and PG&E inspection coordination so the new line goes live on schedule.
Joint Trench & Wet Utilities
Multi-utility joint trenches carrying gas, electric, and telecom in one excavation, sequenced to each utility's separation rules. We also trench for water lines and sewer laterals, with EBMUD coordination handled on the water side.
